Best Roofing Software 2026: 4 Platforms Compared and Scored
Roofr, AccuLynx, RoofSnap and Jobber scored on the same four criteria, with every price checked against the vendor own page. Aerial measurement, supplements, supplier ordering.
Executive summary
Roofing is the one trade where general field service software is genuinely not enough. Everything else on this site — plumbing, HVAC, electrical — can run on a good all-rounder. Roofing cannot, because the job starts with a measurement you cannot take from the ground and a proposal built from it.
Roofr is the pick for most small roofing companies: aerial measurement reports, proposals and payments in one place, with a free tier and unlimited users. AccuLynx is the deepest roofing CRM here and the right answer once you run production crews and insurance supplements — if you accept that it will not tell you what it costs. RoofSnap is a measuring and estimating tool rather than a business system.
- Best for most roofers
- Roofr7.8 · free tier, from $109/mo
- Deepest roofing CRM
- AccuLynx6.8 · quote only
- Best general all-rounder
- Jobber8.8 · from $49/mo
Why roofing needs its own software
Roofing is the one trade where general field service software genuinely falls short, and for three specific reasons: the measurement comes before the quote and cannot be taken from the ground, the customer is often an insurer rather than a homeowner, and material ordering against supplier catalogues is part of the job rather than an errand.
1 · The measurement comes before the quote
A plumber diagnoses on site and quotes on site. A roofer needs squares, pitch, ridge and valley lengths, and penetrations before writing a number — and increasingly gets them from satellite or drone imagery rather than a ladder. Roofr and RoofSnap both sell measurement reports as a core product: $13 to $19 each on Roofr depending on plan, $13 to $55 on RoofSnap depending on report type.
2 · The customer is often an insurer
Storm work runs through claims, supplements and mortgage checks, not through a homeowner’s card. AccuLynx builds this in explicitly — its own page lists “Permits, supplements, and mortgage check tracking” consolidated in the job file. No general field service platform has a concept of a supplement.
3 · Material ordering is part of the job, not an errand
AccuLynx connects to ABC Supply, SRS Distribution and QXO catalogues with contract pricing, so the order goes out from the estimate. That single integration is why established roofers tolerate its opacity on price.
If none of the three describe your business — you do repairs, not replacements, and you bill homeowners directly — a general platform is fine, and our field service software comparison is the better page for you.
Roofing software compared
Roofr is the best roofing-specific choice at 7.8 out of 10, with a free tier, unlimited users and measurement reports at $13 to $19 each. Jobber scores higher overall at 8.8 but has no aerial measurement. AccuLynx is the deepest roofing CRM at 6.8 and publishes no pricing.
Scores use the same four criteria as everything on this site — ease of use, price/value for a small crew, field features, support and integrations — and Jobber’s score is carried over unchanged from our main comparison rather than re-invented for this page. All prices verified against each vendor’s own pricing page on 22 August 2026, in USD.

Roofr
Measurement, proposal and payment in one chain, with a free tier that is genuinely usable.
Roofr is the best roofing software for most small companies, scoring 7.8 out of 10 with a genuinely usable free tier and unlimited users on every plan. It is the shortest path from “a homeowner called” to “a signed proposal”: order a measurement report, build the proposal on it, e-sign and take payment without retyping a dimension.
Two things set its pricing apart. Every tier includes unlimited users, which is unusual in this category and means a four-person crew is not paying four times. And the Starter tier is free: a basic job board, ten trial proposals and pay-as-you-go measurement reports at $19 each. You can run your first ten jobs through it before spending anything.
Where the money actually goes
Measurement reports are billed per order, not included. At $13 each on a paid plan, a shop quoting sixty roofs a month is spending $780 on reports on top of the subscription. Work that into the comparison rather than reading the monthly figure alone.
Also note the tier where the business features live: QuickBooks integration, job costing, crew management and the automation engine all sit on Scale at $349/mo, not on the $109 or $249 tiers.
+Pros
- Unlimited users on every tier, including the free one
- Free Starter plan you can actually quote from
- Measurement, proposal, e-signature and payment in one chain
- Published pricing with no sales call
−Cons
- Measurement reports billed per order on top of the subscription
- QuickBooks and job costing only from $349/mo
- Instant Estimator is a $125/mo add-on, not included
- Lighter on dispatch than a full field service platform
- Starter
- Free unlimited users
- Measure+
- $109 /mo
- Essentials
- $249 /mo
- Scale
- $349 /mo
Monthly rates verified at roofr.com/pricing on 22 August 2026, in USD. Annual billing brings Measure+ and Essentials to $209/mo and Scale to $299/mo. Measurement reports cost $19 each on Starter and $13 each on paid plans, with ESX files a further $10–12. Instant Estimator is $125/mo and Roofr Sites $99/mo, both add-ons.
AccuLynx
The most complete roofing CRM here, and the one that will not tell you what it costs.
AccuLynx is the deepest roofing CRM here, scoring 6.8 out of 10 with a perfect 9 on field features and a 4 on price because it publishes none. Its own feature page lists AI lead ranking, template estimating, real-time material ordering against ABC Supply, SRS and QXO with contract pricing, production scheduling, live job costing and supplement tracking.
That material-ordering integration is the thing to understand. Placing an order against your own supplier pricing from inside the estimate is not a convenience feature for a roofer — it is most of the admin day.
Why it scores 6.8
Its field-features score is a 9, the highest on this page. It loses on the other two axes. The onboarding is sales-led, so a two-person crew cannot self-serve. And it publishes no pricing at all — not even tier names. We checked acculynx.com/pricing on 22 August 2026: the page offers “Get Pricing”, “See Demo” and “Talk to Sales”, and nothing else. That earns a 4 on price/value, below FieldEdge’s 5 in our main comparison, because FieldEdge at least names its three tiers.
+Pros
- Material ordering against ABC Supply, SRS and QXO with contract pricing
- Supplement, permit and mortgage-check tracking built in
- Job costing with live profit forecasting per job
- Integrates EagleView, Hover, GAF QuickMeasure and QuickBooks
−Cons
- No published pricing, and no tier names either
- Sales-led onboarding; not a self-serve product
- Heavier than a small repair-focused crew needs
- Measurement is via third-party integrations, not native
- All plans
- Quote only
- Published tiers
- None not even names

RoofSnap
A very good measuring and estimating tool that is not trying to run your company.
RoofSnap is a measuring and estimating tool rather than a business system, scoring 6.3 out of 10. It does measurement reports, draw-it-yourself measurements, estimating and in-app payments, and it does not do scheduling, dispatch, production management or customer history in any depth. It is honest about that, and it is why the score sits where it does.
Its pricing is the most flexible in roofing, and the most confusing. Monthly is $105/mo per user. Annual drops to $52/mo per user at ten or more users, $61 at five to nine, and $78 at two to four. There is also a genuine pay-as-you-go option with no subscription: $13 for a Half Snap, $35–55 for a Full Snap, $15 for gutters, $18 for lighting.
That pay-as-you-go tier is the reason to look at RoofSnap even if you buy something else. A shop on Jobber that needs measurements six times a month can pay per report here and skip a second subscription entirely.
+Pros
- Real pay-as-you-go option with no subscription at all
- Annual per-user price drops sharply with team size
- Draw-it-yourself measurements when imagery is poor
- Pairs well with a general platform instead of replacing it
−Cons
- Not a business management system — no dispatch or production
- $105/mo per user on monthly billing is steep for a small crew
- Narrow integration surface
- Report pricing varies by roof size, so the cost is not fixed
- Monthly
- $105 /mo per user
- Annual, 10+ users
- $52 /mo per user
- Annual, 2–4 users
- $78 /mo per user
- Pay as you go
- $13 from, per report
Verified at roofsnap.com/pricing on 22 August 2026, in USD. Annual pricing is tiered by team size: $52/mo at 10+ users, $61 at 5–9, $78 at 2–4. Pay-as-you-go: Half Snap $13, Full Snap $35–55, gutter $15, lighting $18. Annual subscribers also get 240 bonus HD images per user per year.
Jobber
The highest score on this site, and still the wrong tool for storm work.
Jobber takes 8.8 in our main field service comparison — the top score we award — because a small crew can be quoting from a phone within a day. That score is carried here unchanged; we do not re-issue numbers per industry.
For roofing it splits cleanly by the kind of work you do. Repair and service roofing billed to homeowners: Jobber is excellent and cheaper than anything roofing-specific. Replacement and storm work billed through insurers: Jobber has no aerial measurement, no supplement tracking and no supplier catalogue, and you will end up running a second system alongside it.
A common and sensible setup is Jobber for the business plus RoofSnap pay-as-you-go for measurements. Two products, roughly $49/mo plus $13 a report, and no sales call in either direction.
+Pros
- Fastest setup of anything we score
- Client hub collects approvals and payment 24/7
- Published pricing and a real free trial
- Pairs cleanly with a pay-as-you-go measurement tool
−Cons
- No aerial measurement or roof reports
- No insurance supplement or mortgage-check tracking
- No supplier catalogue or material ordering
- Every plan starts at one user; seats are $29/mo each
- Core
- $49 /mo, 1 user
- Connect
- $139 /mo, 1 user
- Grow
- $199 /mo, 1 user
- Plus
- $499 /mo, 5 users
Month-to-month rates verified at getjobber.com/pricing on 22 August 2026, in USD. Annual prepay drops these to $21, $70, $105 and $280/mo. Extra users $29/mo each.
Scoring breakdown
The four criteria pull these apart sharply. AccuLynx scores 9 on field features and 4 on price because it publishes nothing at all. RoofSnap scores 6 on features because it is a measuring tool rather than a business system. Roofr is the most balanced roofing-specific option at 7.8.
Each average is the plain mean of that row’s four criteria, rounded to one decimal place. What each criterion measures.
| Software | Ease of use | Price/value | Field features | Support | Average |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jobber | 9 | 8 | 9 | 9 | 8.8/10 |
| Roofr | 8 | 8 | 8 | 7 | 7.8/10 |
| AccuLynx | 6 | 4 | 9 | 8 | 6.8/10 |
| RoofSnap | 7 | 7 | 6 | 5 | 6.3/10 |
How to choose
Match the tool to the kind of roofing you sell. Repairs billed to homeowners: Jobber plus pay-as-you-go measurements. Replacements with published pricing: Roofr. Storm and insurance work with production crews: AccuLynx. Measurements only: RoofSnap pay-as-you-go, no subscription at all. The four cases are below.
- Repairs and service work, billed to homeowners — Jobber, and buy measurements pay-as-you-go from RoofSnap when you need them.
- Replacements, small crew, want published pricing — Roofr. Start on the free tier and pay per report until the volume justifies Measure+.
- Storm and insurance work with production crews — AccuLynx, and accept the sales call. The supplement tracking and supplier catalogue are worth it at that scale.
- You only need measurements — RoofSnap pay-as-you-go. No subscription at all.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best roofing software for a small company?
Roofr, for most. It scores 7.8 on our four criteria, includes unlimited users on every tier including the free one, and puts measurement, proposal, e-signature and payment in one chain. Jobber scores higher overall at 8.8 but has no aerial measurement, so it fits repair-focused roofers rather than replacement work.
How much does roofing software cost?
Roofr runs from free to $349/mo with unlimited users, plus $13–19 per measurement report. RoofSnap is $52–105/mo per user depending on billing and team size, or pay-as-you-go from $13 a report. AccuLynx publishes nothing. All verified against each vendor’s own page on 22 August 2026.
Do I need roofing-specific software, or will Jobber do?
Ask whether your work involves aerial measurement, insurance supplements or supplier catalogue ordering. If none of the three, a general platform is cheaper and easier. If any of them, you will end up running a second system alongside a general tool, which usually costs more than buying the roofing product.
Why is there no price for AccuLynx or JobNimbus?
AccuLynx publishes no pricing — its page offers only “Get Pricing” and “Talk to Sales”, with no tier names. JobNimbus returned an access error to every request we made on 22 August 2026, so we could not examine the product at all. We do not print figures we have not verified at the source, and we do not repeat numbers from third-party roundups.
Does this site earn commission on these recommendations?
No. There are no affiliate links on this page and no vendor paid for placement or for a score. Every outbound link goes to the vendor’s own pricing page.
Last reviewed 22 August 2026. Every price on this page was checked against the vendor’s own pricing page on that date.
