Best Pest Control Software 2026: 3 Platforms Compared
GorillaDesk, Fieldwork and PestPac scored on the same four criteria. Routing caps, chemical compliance and seat models, with every price checked at the source.
Executive summary
Pest control looks like general field service until you look at the route. A pest technician does eight to fifteen short recurring stops a day, not three long jobs, and every one of them generates a chemical application record that a regulator can ask for. Those two facts decide the software.
GorillaDesk is the best fit for most small pest companies: published pricing from $49/mo, a seat model that only charges for people on a route, and routing built in. Fieldwork is the cleanest product here and charges only for field users. PestPac is the category heavyweight — chemical tracking, termite documentation, commercial multi-unit — and will not tell you what it costs.

What pest control needs that general software skips
Pest control needs three things general field service software handles poorly: routing that sequences a dozen recurring stops rather than dispatching one job, chemical application records that survive a regulatory inspection, and recurring quarterly contracts that bill and renew themselves. Everything else a pest business needs, any decent platform already does.
1 · Routing, not dispatch
Most trades dispatch: decide who takes a job. Pest control routes: sequence a dozen recurring stops so the van drives the least. That is a different problem and a different feature. PestPac claims customers service “twenty one percent more jobs while cutting drive time by thirty percent” — the exact metric a pest operator cares about and one no plumbing-first product optimises for.
Watch the caps. GorillaDesk’s Basic plan at $49/mo limits routing to 25 stops. For a two-technician operation that is fine; at four technicians doing twelve stops each you are already over it and paying for Pro.
2 · Chemical records are a legal document
Every application needs the product, rate, target pest, applicator and site recorded, and it needs to survive an inspection. PestPac sells chemical tracking and termite inspection documentation as named features. General platforms give you a notes field, which is not the same thing when a regulator asks.
3 · Recurring contracts are the business
Quarterly and bi-monthly service agreements are most of the revenue. The software has to generate the visits, bill the plan and flag renewals — the same requirement HVAC has with maintenance plans, and the same place cheap tools fail.
If your work is one-off treatments billed on the day, a general platform is fine and our field service software comparison is the better page.
Pest control software compared
GorillaDesk is the best pest control software for most small operations at 7.5 out of 10 and $49 a month, charged per route so office staff cost nothing. Fieldwork scores 7.0 at $59 per field user. PestPac is the deepest on compliance at 6.5 and publishes no pricing at all.

GorillaDesk
The best combination of published price, routing and a seat model that does not punish you for having an office.
GorillaDesk is the best pest control software for most small crews, scoring 7.5 out of 10 from $49 a month. Its pricing model is the most sensible in the category: it charges per route, not per person, so administrative users are unlimited and free. Three vans with an owner, a bookkeeper and a receptionist pay for three routes, not six seats.
Basic at $49/mo covers invoices, estimates, work orders, material tracking and routing up to 25 stops. Pro at $99/mo is where the operational features live: customer portal and online booking, GPS device tracking, QuickBooks Online sync, e-signatures, review generation and time clocking. Growth at $149/mo adds map estimation, dynamic packages, a sales pipeline and multi-branch.
The 25-stop ceiling
This is the number that decides your tier. Basic caps routing at 25 stops, which a solo operator or a two-van shop will not hit. Three vans doing ten stops a day will, and then Basic’s $49 becomes Pro’s $99. Price the tier you will be on in six months.
Also note GorillaDesk serves pest control, lawn care, landscaping, cleaning, pool and pressure washing. That breadth is why it appears on more than one page of this site — it is one product, scored once, and the score does not change by industry.
+Pros
- Per-route seats — unlimited free admin users
- Published pricing, no sales call, no contract
- Free data migration
- Routing included at the entry tier
−Cons
- Basic caps routing at 25 stops
- QuickBooks Online sync only from Pro at $99/mo
- SMS is a $5/mo subscription plus credits, not included
- Material tracking is lighter than PestPac’s chemical compliance
- Basic
- $49 /mo per route

Verified at gorilladesk.com/pricing on 22 August 2026, in USD. Annual: Basic $539, Pro $1,089, Growth $1,639. Charged per route or schedule — typically one per technician working solo — with unlimited free administrative users. SMS is $5/mo plus credits at $50 per 1,000 messages. Data migration is free and there is no setup fee or contract.
Fieldwork
Built for pest control specifically, and the pricing page is refreshingly plain.
Fieldwork scores 7.0 out of 10 and is the cleanest pest-only product here. It prices per field technician and includes one free office user on every plan, the same instinct as GorillaDesk’s route model arrived at differently. Startup is $59/mo, Business $79/mo and Pro $99/mo, all per field user.
Pro is where contracts, technician tracking, multi-office support, Zapier and API access appear. For a single-location shop with three technicians, Business at $79 each is the realistic tier, which puts it above GorillaDesk on cost for the same headcount.
Where it earns its place is focus. Fieldwork is a pest product, not a general platform with a pest landing page, and the workflow reflects that. Where it loses ground is the integration surface: Zapier and an API at the top tier is thinner than QuickBooks sync at the middle tier.
+Pros
- Published pricing, three plain tiers
- One free office user on every plan
- Built for pest control rather than adapted to it
- Contracts and multi-office at the top tier
−Cons
- Per field user, so cost scales linearly with technicians
- No annual pricing published
- Zapier and API only on Pro
- Narrower integration list than the bigger players
- Startup
- $59 /mo per field user
- Business
- $79 /mo per field user
- Pro
- $99 /mo per field user

PestPac
The deepest pest platform, owned by WorkWave, and priced by a salesperson.
PestPac scores 6.5 out of 10 with the highest field-features mark on this page and the lowest price mark, because it publishes no pricing. The feature list shows why: routing built around drive-time reduction, chemical tracking for regulatory compliance, termite inspection documentation, custom forms, commercial multi-unit support, a customer portal, a website builder and CRM, and Wavelytics analytics.
It is owned by WorkWave, which also owns RealGreen for lawn care and RouteManager for routing. That matters if you run more than one service line — the pieces are designed to sit together — and it matters if you do not, because you are buying into a suite either way.
Why 6.5 despite the depth
Field features score a 9: nothing else on this page tracks chemicals and termite documentation to that standard. Price/value scores a 4 because the pricing page names three tiers — Small Business, Professional, Enterprise — and then says “Speak with a consultant today for more information on pricing packages”. Ease of use scores a 5 for the same reason it does everywhere: an enterprise product with sales-led onboarding is not something a two-van shop configures on a Sunday.
+Pros
- Chemical tracking and termite documentation built for compliance
- Routing designed around drive-time reduction
- Handles commercial multi-unit accounts properly
- Marketing, CRM and analytics in the same suite
−Cons
- No published pricing on any tier
- Sales-led onboarding; not self-serve
- Names no specific third-party integrations on its site
- Overbuilt for a one or two van operation
- Small Business
- Quote only
- Professional

Scoring breakdown
The gap here is about transparency, not capability. PestPac scores 9 on field features, the highest on this page, and 4 on price because it publishes nothing. GorillaDesk and Fieldwork both publish plain tiers and score 8 on ease of use. That difference is most of the ranking.
Each average is the plain mean of that row’s four criteria, rounded to one decimal place. What each criterion measures.
| Software | Ease of use | Price/value | Field features | Support | Average |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| GorillaDesk | 8 | 8 | 7 | 7 | 7.5/10 |
| Fieldwork | 8 | 7 | 7 | 6 | 7.0/10 |
| PestPac | 5 | 4 | 9 | 8 | 6.5/10 |
How to choose
Count your daily stops per technician first, because that single number decides the tier. One or two vans: GorillaDesk Basic at $49. Three to eight technicians: GorillaDesk Pro or Fieldwork Business, and the seat models differ enough to flip the answer. Heavy compliance: get the PestPac quote.
- One or two vans — GorillaDesk Basic at $49/mo. The 25-stop routing cap will not bite yet, and unlimited free admin users means the office costs nothing.
- Three to eight technicians — GorillaDesk Pro at $99 per route, or Fieldwork Business at $79 per field user. Run the numbers on your actual headcount; the seat models differ enough to flip the answer.
- Commercial accounts and heavy compliance — get the PestPac quote. Chemical tracking and termite documentation to that standard is not available elsewhere on this page.
- You also do lawn care or cleaning — GorillaDesk covers all three in one subscription, which usually beats two specialist products.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best pest control software for a small business?
GorillaDesk, on our scoring, at 7.5 out of 10. It publishes its pricing, starts at $49/mo, charges per route rather than per person so office staff are free, and includes routing at the entry tier. Fieldwork at 7.0 is the alternative if you prefer a pest-only product.
How much does pest control software cost?
GorillaDesk is $49 to $149/mo per route, or $539 to $1,639 a year. Fieldwork is $59 to $99/mo per field user with one free office user. PestPac publishes nothing and quotes per business. All checked against each vendor’s own page on 22 August 2026.
Does pest control software handle chemical records?
To different standards. PestPac sells chemical tracking and termite inspection documentation as named compliance features. GorillaDesk offers material tracking, which is lighter. If a regulator inspecting your application records is a realistic scenario, test that specific workflow before you buy anything.
What is the difference between routing and dispatch?
Dispatch decides who takes a job. Routing sequences a set of already-assigned stops so the van drives the least. Pest control is a routing business — eight to fifteen short recurring stops a day — which is why general dispatch-first platforms fit it poorly. We cover the distinction in our guide to dispatch software.
